There is no day zero so the clock starts tomorrow!
Today I harassed a few Friends and family for more likes and follows, heheh. But more importantly I actually put some content on www.ThePhubar.com that I believe gives its existence a little purpose. Check it out and let me know what you think. It currently contains the first draft so there are likely to be changes applied, but it will do for now.
I still need to make a neat'o little intro sequence for my YouTube entries. I will try to get that rocking tomorrow before the first entry gets published. Man this is gonna be an interesting ride. I fear that my delusions of grandeur may be affecting my excitement and impatience levels. Oh, well.
Here is how I see this happening. Most days will have a video blog posted on YouTube which will also be posted here with a short intro of some sort. Some days I might not be able to post to YouTube so I will have to settle for a brief entry here on the blog. But either way there must be 365 consecutive days of entries to either the Blog or the YouTube channel. The facebook and twitter interaction is just going to help let people know that there is new content to be viewed. Flickr is just there so that everyone can see my photos. I like to take pictures and maybe one day I will have a camera that is worth a crap and some neat lenses. Until then I will keep snapping amateur shots with my canon s210. I will also post high resolution copies of my digital art up there for people to see.
I think that is effectively enough rambling for today.

p.s. I don't have anything to post script about today either but I feel like I would be breaking a tradition if there wasn't something here. :)
p.p.s. Ditto.

A lot of progress yesterday (Day -2)
It is amazing how much you can achieve in a day when sleep effectively eludes you. I tried to lay down yesterday after my blog entry, I was so tired I passed out fast. Three hours later I woke up to find myself completely alert. I didn't give in so easily though, I stayed in bed for about another 30-40 minutes before I totally gave up. I went for a run and did some push-ups and sit-ups hoping to tire out again. NOPE! Oh well.
Anyhow, I got a lot of time to work on the site. If you haven't seen it yet go to http://www.thephubar.com/ and tell me what you think. Keep in mind that for now it is just a one stop access to all the social media networks I am tied in to. I might eventually make it a portfolio as well, we shall see. There are a lot of neat little widgets out there for websites. I really like the 3d flash ball of my Flickr Photostream.
There are still a couple of things that I am trying to do with the website. I would like to pull my status feed from facebook in that big open area. And I also want to make different versions of that background with my face on it. The other versions will be making different faces and will swap out at random. Or, maybe I can make them reflect my mood. I don't know, we shall see. Anyhow short and sweet ought to do it for today. I am exhausted! See you all in 3 hours ;)

p.s. I have no valid post script for today but I thought this would make me laugh to type it out.
p.p.s I was right :)

Getting it all set up (Day -3)
So, it has been a bit since I have attempted to really set up a website. This new age of interconnectivity in social networking is pretty interesting. A few years back I (while I was in college) ran a web design business on my own. I utilized PHP, mySQL, and all that fun scripting stuff. I could do some neat stuff but I never really got ultra proficient. As such, it often took me large amounts of time to fumble my way through stuff and figure it out. I could always get there but at what cost. When I decided to tackle this little personal venture I was concerned that it would take forever trying to learn all the API's for the different websites and such, boy was I wrong.
I started on Facebook. I spent about 10 hours fumbling around trying to see how to put it into use and which would be the best course of action. All I really wanted was my status updates on my personal homepage. Then, just as I was about to vomit FBML, I decided to take a break and explore another app.
I fired up a new Twitter account. Then I checked my Facebook and set up a fan page for myself. Then Facebook backhanded me with a "would you like to link your twitter account to this Facebook account and automatically update your Twitter status?" So for a moment I debated on tearing out my hair and I realized that I had none. Instead I painted on a frusterated grin and clicked YES!
So it turns out that Twitter has little widgets all over the damn place that will paste your activity where ever you want it. In summary, that was 10 hours of investigating development for something that has been done just fine in a different direction. I love it!!!
Once I got that flowing it all just kind of works. I have my Youtube build into my blog here and the main site as well as linked on Facebook so that everytime I create a new video blog the info will be passed around to each of the socail media services. Now I just need to design my site and turn it on, then find some followers so that I don't feel like I am wasting my time completely.

p.s. don't worry, the flowing product will be of epic proportions. Or I will receive lots and lots of e-mails asking for peoples time back.
p.p.s there will be no time refunds.

So, Here I am.
I am currently beginning an experiment on personal growth / capabilites. I want to see if I can stick to it. I am tying in Blogger, Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, and a personal website (http://www.thephubar.com/) to share my thoughts with the world. Or at least the portion of the world that wants to see what is in my head. I believe that it I put it out there then there can be some good in some way linked to my thoughts. I will elaborate further tomorrow, for now I have to go to work.
It is 10:26 PM here in Kunsan, South Korea.
Good morning America. Hahahah
